During Monday to Saturday daytimes, northbound trains operate every 20 minutes via Shirley, Birmingham Moor Street and Birmingham Snow Hill to Stourbridge Junction, with some trains continuing onward to Kidderminster and Worcester. There is one southbound train per hour to Stratford-upon-Avon. On Sundays, there is an hourly train between Worcester, Birmingham, Shirley and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Some peak services terminate/start from Whitlocks End.
Originally called Whitlock's End Halt, the suffix was dropped on the 6th of May 1968. The station formerly had only one train per hour in either direction, this was changed from 1 October 2010 with the opening of a new turnback facility at the station.
